The referral fee is the only fee on a standard TikTok Shop sale. It covers the marketplace commission and payment processing together, and it is charged on what the customer pays for the item and shipping, excluding sales tax, which TikTok collects and remits itself.
Creator affiliate commissions are separate. If an affiliate drives the sale, the commission rate you set in your affiliate plan is deducted on top of the referral fee. Enter it in your costs to see the real margin.

How much does TikTok Shop take per sale?
For most US categories TikTok Shop's public fee table lists a 6% referral fee on the order, which includes payment processing. Selected fine jewellery and pre-owned items are 5%, and eligible new sellers get 3% for their first 30 days.
Did TikTok Shop raise its fee to 8%?

Is there a separate payment processing fee on TikTok Shop?
No. In the US the referral fee combines the commission and payment processing into one charge, unlike Etsy or Whatnot, which charge processing separately.

Yes. The referral fee applies to what the customer pays, including shipping they are charged. Sales tax is excluded because TikTok collects and remits it.
What other costs should I include?
