TechLab247 builds free, practical online tools for small businesses, freelancers, contractors and online sellers — VAT and sales tax calculators, loan and financing cost tools, and marketplace fee calculators. The site is independently built and run; it is not affiliated with any tax authority, lender or marketplace.

What makes these tools different

Every tax rate used on this site comes from an official source — the European Commission's Taxes in Europe Database, the Canada Revenue Agency, GOV.UK — and every calculator page cites its source, the data's effective dates, and the date we last verified it. When a dataset hasn't been re-verified within its review window, the page says so visibly rather than silently serving stale numbers.

The formulas are documented on each tool's page with a worked example, so results can be checked by hand. The same formula code that renders the examples also powers the calculators and is covered by automated tests.

How the site is funded

TechLab247 is free to use. The site may display advertising and may earn commissions from clearly disclosed affiliate links to products such as accounting software or business lenders.
